Events At Tatton Park
Unlocking the Secrets of the Japanese Garden
Take part in a guided tour of Tatton Park’s Japanese Garden whilst learning all about the plants, care and maintenance involved in the garden. The area is normally closed off to the public, so this provides an exciting insight and opportunity to explore this tranquil area. The event is taking place on Wednesday the 11th October and must be pre-booked, buy your tickets now!
The Secret World Of Tatton’s Fungi
Fungus expert, Fungal Punk Dave and a Tatton Ranger host a guided walk of Tatton’s Parkland in which you can learn all about the species of fungi found within the parks grounds. Participants are advised to bring a packed lunch and wear appropriate outdoor clothing. All ages are welcomed onto this walk, along with any pets you wish to bring along. The guided walk is taking place on Sunday the 15th October 2017 and must be pre-booked, get tickets before it’s too late!
A Hidden Halloween
Taking place between the 21st October and the 29th October this Halloween spook-tacular is a must for families. The event includes a frightening trail in the Medieval home of Tatton’s ancient ancestors, follow a trail to find secret treasures of the last Lord Egerton, take part in a mystery maze at the farm and unearth spooks in the Secret Garden. Food and Gifts Show
The food and gifts show is being held at Tatton Park on the 28th and 29th October. Tatton’s Tenants Hall will be packed with mini shops offering food by specialist producers in the North West. Admission to the show is free and visitors can also browse the stalls for personal gifts and home décor. It’s open from 10:30am until 5pm each day. Find out more about the food and gifts show.
Events Around Knutsford
Goosfest 2017
This not for profit arts and music festival which is held each year in October at various venues in and around the village of Goostrey in Cheshire. The festival offers a wide range of events from classical to folk or contemporary music, theatre, scientific lectures, arts and crafts and stand-up comedy. The festival is being held between 6th October and 21st October, find out more about Goosfest and buy tickets!
Deer Discovery Trail at Dunham Massey
A discovery trail around the park reveals the autumn rituals of Dunham’s deer. This self-lead trail is open between 10am and 5pm between 7th October and 5th November and is a free event! Although there is no extra charge for the trail, normal admission charges will apply and maps of the park can be collected from the visitor reception. Find out more about the Deer Discovery Trail.
